CERT is working on developing new skills. LZ Fire Department provided hydrant training to our members.  Training can be fun too between members.

CERT deployed after a Call Out request from Lake Zurich to help with seriously bad thunderstorms and high winds.  We secure scenes for crews clearing downed trees and wires. CERT was out ensuring community safety until ComEd could fix the wires and restore electricity

CERT Joined the Lake Zurich Memorial Day Parade and ceremony.

CERT deployed on a rainy morning after a (Call Out) request from Hawthorn Woods.  Our members helped secure roads at Gilmer and Midlothian due to a car hitting a traffic light control box. Used our trucks and light tower to help light the scene and direct traffic, as there were no functioning traffic lights

CERT providing scene lighting, traffic management, and a safe pedestrian crosswalk during October weekends (Fridays and Saturdays) at the Jack-O-Lantern event in Lake Zurich.

CERT responded to a Hawthorn Woods request for assistance (Call Out) for a traffic accident.  Members of our team provided valuable help while on site.
